New Charter for 2006-2007

The following changes were made at the June 2006 True Team Committee Meeting for 2006 - 2007 Swimming & Diving True Team:

1. At the True Team State Meets medals will be awarded to the top three teams at the end of the meet, rather than, to the top eight place finishers in each event. At the True Team Section meets awards will continue to be awarded as in the past to the top eight finishers in each event.
2. At the True Team State Meet Diving will be an eleven dive event. However, there will be a cut after five dives to the top 16 for the finals. If the event runs smoothly and it becomes apparent that there is enough time the diving panel may decide after the first five dives to cut to the top 20 for the finals.
3. This year the True Team no longer has a corporate sponsor. Which means the cost of awards to each section will increase this year. In the past, you have been invoiced by the Swimming & Diving Coaches Association for the sum of $180.00 to cover the expense of awards. This year, you will be invoiced for the sum of $230.00 to cover the price of awards. Please send payment for the invoice to the Swimming & Diving Coaches Association when you are invoiced.
4. Two True Team Section Meets locations were moved. In both cases, the meets were moved to a different school because last year's host coach would not be returning to coach this year. The True Team Committee decided to move the meets to locations where the host coach has proven track record for hosting invitational meets.
   • The Girls Class A, Section 8 Meet has been moved from Warroad to Park Rapids.
   • The Girls Class A, Section 6 Meet has been moved from South St. Paul to Minneapolis Roosevelt.
   • The Girls Class AA, Section 3 Meet has been moved from Apple Valley to Rosemount.
